Google Gears for Mobile has been released. Gears offers an easy and transparent way to help browser applications be able to keep working when offline, something that is no luxury on mobile devices that move around and sometimes lose connection to the internet. It can also improve performance by introducing a layer that can do smart caching and in that way reduce the amount of data that goes over the wire.
